Police Issue Parking Warnings in Bunbury
29th of November, 2024
We have received many complaints about inconsiderate parking in the village and so have asked the police to help us deal with this.
The police have now issued a number of Advisory Notices to cars parked poorly and will be following this up with more visits and the issuing of Fixed Penalties for further offences.
Examples of poor parking include parking on roads where this makes the road too narrow for safe use by others, parking on pavements where the pavement becomes too narrow for use by pedestrians or wheelchair users, parking near turnings or drives (including opposite drives on narrow roads) and poor parking around the triangle.
Residents and visitors are asked to make the village a safer place by using the free car park at Hurst Close or by parking carefully and considerately - this includes taking account of the needs of other road users.
